Hello all! Welcome to the Head Chef blog! I'll be updating it regularly with all kinds of food content, such as our latest menu’s, recipes, tips and hints and also just to let you know what we have been up to!
With Christmas fast approaching, the Bistro L!VE chefs have been incredibly busy perfecting the dishes for our up and coming Christmas menu, which starts on 15th November. Every dish that we create at Bistro L!VE is designed to excite your taste buds, from our gorgeous tangy cheesy potato cakes with homemade sweet chilli sauce, to our lemon Posset filled tuille basket – there is something for everyone!!

Last week, myself and the team ‘cooked off’ the complete menu. Our aim was to get the taste, presentation and overall balance of each dish absolutely perfect. We invited all key members of staff to put all the food to the test….This process is invaluable to us, as it gives me great insight into how food is received for different people and therefore enables me too tweak any part of a dish if necessary.
We also finalised the canapés (see right) being offered for the Christmas balls and for New Years Eve. From sun-dried tomato and mozzarella bruschetta to succulent chicken tikka on mini naan with a cucumber raita, there are little explosions of flavour to suit everyones taste buds.
